Heat generated from the combustion of solid waste is converted to marketable electricity via a steam driven turbine generator. *

These are power-generating facilities built to use non-hazardous waste as a fuel substitute for coal and natural gas. Heat generated from the process provides steam and electricity to local industry. There are over 100 such facilities spread across 31 states in America. We use those with the highest standards for maintaining OSHA compliance and safety. All must meet or exceed the maximum achievable control technology guidelines as issued by the Environmental Protection Agency.
